Dayo Olaide, PMP, is an international development professional with extensive experience in resource mobilisation, programme management, and policy advocacy across Africa and global development contexts. He currently serves as Business Development Lead for International Foundations and Foreign Governments at World Vision Canada, where he leads donor engagement, strategic partnerships, and funding growth initiatives.

Previously, Olaide spent over a decade at the MacArthur Foundation, serving as Deputy Director for Nigeria. In this role, he led grantmaking and strategy development and oversaw high-impact programmes across governance, elections, gender, education, health, and social inclusion. He worked closely with civil society organisations, government institutions, and development partners to advance accountability, participation, and democratic outcomes.

Olaide has also held senior programme roles at the British Council and the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA), where he managed multi-million-dollar regional and country portfolios, supervised grantees, and supported strategy implementation across West Africa.

Widely recognised for his expertise in fundraising, donor relations, programme evaluation, and strategic partnerships, Olaide actively mentors nonprofit leaders and board members on proposal development, advocacy, and institutional growth.

He holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Olabisi Onabanjo University. He brings a strong blend of development insight, financial acumen, and leadership to board-level governance and strategic decision-making.
